Money Matters -What Does The Bible Say?

1.A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry; but money answereth all things.
Ecclesiastes 10:19

2. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
 Timothy 6:10

3.Proverbs 10:4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

4.Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:19 - 6:21

5.God blesses the man who honors Him with his wealth.
Proverbs 3:9 - Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the fruitfruits of your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

6. Deuteronomy 8:17 -- You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.

7.Proverbs 13:9 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

8.Ecclesiastes 5:19 - When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work, this is a gift of God.

9.Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 (KJV)

10.Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
Proverbs 23:5 (KJV)

11.He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
Proverbs 11:28 (KJV)

12.Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts,
if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing,
that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Malachi 3:10 (KJV)

13.II Corinthians 9:6 - Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, for God loves a cheerful giver.

14.It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.
Proverbs 10:22 (NASB)

Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Proverbs 22:16 - He that oppresseth the poor to increase his [riches, and] he that giveth to the rich, [shall] surely [come] to want.

Ecclesiastes 11:4-6New International Version (NIV)

Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.
As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
    the Maker of all things.
Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
    whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well.
